This Way Up: Day 2

Morning folks and welcome to Day 2 of #thiswayup14. Who’s ready for more exhibition innovation? I know we are… First up this morning, Rohan Gunatillake (21awake/Native) delivers our opening presentation, drawing on his vast experience to address why exhibitors should be doing more digitally than just posting screening times on Facebook.

From 11am, we’re joined in the Electra by Chris Dennis (Entertainment One), Simon Bateson (Take One Action), Andrew Partridge (Anime Limited) and Chair, Jay Arnold, for ‘We’re all super-geeks now’, a look at our increasingly highly engaged audiences and the effect they’re having on cinema culture. Meanwhile in the Roxy, Joeli Brearley (Future Everything), Lara Devitt (Arts Council England) and Chair, Rohan Gunatillake discuss how to capture a smile in a spreadsheet – measuring data in the arts.

Be sure to check back here this afternoon for an update on the morning’s discussions and what’s coming up next. In the meantime, you can keep up with the conversation on Twitter @thiswayupcon and #thiswayup14

Enjoy!
